The transitional years from adolescence into young adulthood can be as overwhelming as they are exciting. These years can bring challenges in relationships with friends or family members, emotions that feel overwhelming or out of control, and difficulty making healthy decisions. Teens and young adults are exploring who they want to be and parents are trying to figure out what it means to parent this new and sometimes unfamiliar person. Whether you're the young person trying to figure out life or the parent wondering how to reach them, I'm here to support you.
When we feel disconnected from those who are most important to us we feel lost, alone, helpless, and ineffective (although these feelings might be expressed in other ways, such as through anger). I would love the opportunity to walk alongside you as we work toward achieving greater harmony and connection in the relationships in your life.
In order to help meet these goals, I offer emotionally-focused and attachment-based individual and family therapy, EMDR (Trauma Therapy), Deep Brain Reorienting/DBR (Trauma Therapy), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and parent support and coaching.
